I am very happy to have had the opportunity to contribute to the solution of the problems of Kaunas City by participating in the introductory ECIU challenge. This learning method helps you to make new contacts and improve your communication and teamwork skills. Also, challenge-based learning helps to learn about real-life situations and data, which is rarely the case in traditional laboratory work. At the very beginning of the challenge, the process seemed quite daunting because we had to develop a solution to pressing ecological problems. But working in a team and consulting with experts, we managed to come up with an idea that could improve the situation, even to a small extent.
